    Alen, Yitskhok-Ayzik

    1875–July 23, 1973

    approx. 97 - 98 years

    In 1891 he came from Lithuania to the United States. He was one of the founders of the American Jewish Committee, the American Jewish Congress, and the Zionist Federation in America.

    For many years he was a regular contributor to Yidishes Tageblat (Jewish Daily Newspaper), among other Yiddish publications. He also often wrote for Hadoar (The Mail).

    He died in Hartford, Connecticut.
